L. L. Garner Art, aka Sixus1

After finding a home with publisher Source Point Press, the decision was made to re-release the previously released first three issues (originally with Insane Comics). Painted covers were asked for, and this rework of an older piece was chosen for #1

This piece was meant to juxtapose Anna, the lead character of Apocalypse Girl, against one of the "Hunter-fiends' beasts that figure heavily into the plot.

The second painting of Anna I ever worked up, a version of it was made into prints a couple years back, but I was never quite happy with it, so I recently reworked it, almost entirely into this new version that I'm much happier with.

A faster, 'traditional comics" sort of piece, I just wanted to go for something that evoked some of the Western aesthetic of the book, and maybe captured a bit more of my love of old school comic art.
